Meant to note we loved the Blue, not the Green. I’ve had some blue/green color issues over the years…..
We heard about the Iguanas from close friends who visit Ojai frequently. This stay was for Gina’s birthday and we were both delighted with the place, the service. And, in particular, the gardens.
We’d definitely come again and would also like to try Green’s sister, Emerald.
In addition to the birthday, it was a chance for Allan to renew a friendship with people he hadn’t seen in 25 years. All in all, a delightful weekend with delightful lodging.
Spent my birthday weekend here with 7 old friends. I have stayed at the Inn several times before and it is always exactly what it promises. quiet, relaxing, serene, and beautiful. The staff could not have been more accommodating. We had a fabulous caterer come in Saturday night (reco by staff) and it was superb. Thank you Christine Rutherford! Thanks to staff for such a memorable weekend!

This was my third trip to Ojai but my first needing a place to stay. My best friend that I usually stay with was getting married hence the excuse for this visit. After my experience at the Blue Iguana don’t think shell be having us as house guests again. I hardly ventured off the grounds. We wanted to spend as much time as possible at the pool, hot tub, in room jacuzzi, or even just relaxing in the comfortable king size bed. The sheets and pillows were top of the line!
This boutique hotel was recommended by my Brother and Sister in Law who are residents of Ojai. It is truly a lovely and peaceful destination. We enjoyed the morning continental breakfast and a 20 minute hot tub each morning. I would highly recommend the Blue Iguana Inn to anyone visiting the area that prefers the extraordinary. We will be back when my next neice graduates from Nordoff High!!
whoo, Whoo! When we left the Emerald Igauna, Thomas commented that he would never stay anywhere else in Ojai. I agree. We had already been to Yosemite and Monterey. It was the perfect way to end our vacation. We will be back.

My 2 sisters and I went to the Emerald Iguana for relaxation. What a beautiful and relaxing place. The flowers and birds singing made for a very relaxing few days. All the staff was very helpful. I will be back to relax some more. The Emerald Iguana is a gem.
We stayed at the Rivercliff Bungalo for our honeymoon last week. It absolutely could not have been better. We had a wonderful time; it was peaceful, the gardens are breathtakingly gorgeous, and we had complete privacy! We will definitely be returning…

Had a wonderful time in the Toad. The whole complex is lush and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting by the pool with our breakfast, listening to the birds sing and watching butterflies flit from flower to flower.

Our 2nd stay was great. Emerald Iguana is beautiful and the staff is nice. As a person who is always looking for things to complain about I have these. We stayed in the Leaf.
Put better lighting in the bathroom. bPut some shelves in the bathroom. There’s nowhere to keep all the toiletries.
Heat the pool. It’s disappointing that it can’t be used at least fo a quick dip after using the spa.
Everything else is first rate. See you next year.

Thanks for an amazing stay in Ojai! Such a lovely space – we absolutely will be back. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. And while we initially were disappointed with the fact that it was going to rain on Saturday, it turned into a beautiful way to slow down and relax. We stayed with our friends in the Gecko cottage and loved it. We’ll see you next time Emerald Iguana!
This Sunday will be our 4th stay at the Emerald Iguana. I am so excited to be returning once again to your lovely inn this weekend. I noticed the blue ribbon on your website about 2009 Best Inn in Ojai Valley. I think it should read “All-time Best Inn in California”! Or maybe “In the USA!” My sister recommended the Emerald Iguana to us several years ago, and I was thrilled to find such beautiful accommodations, setting, facilities, friendly helpful staff! I was convinced right then and there that we had found the perfect inn, and anytime my wife and I could get away for a weekend, this is the ONLY place for us. Absolutely the only place for us!! I recommend the Emerald Iguana to all of my friends and family, and can’t help but wax effusive over your lovely establishment. Sign us

Oh what fun! Christmas was perfect in Ojai – some unimaginably glorious weather and staying at the terrific location of the Emerald Iguana that is so quiet, quaint, charming, and just a quick walk to town! I’m ready to come back and try other cottages and make new Ojai discoveries. All the staff were lovely and accommodating taking to care of our needs and making great recommendations for places to visit and to eat. A couple of years ago I was lucky enough to have enjoyed a short stay at the Blue Iguana,also; you just can’t beat either spot for comfort, convenience, and ambience! Where else can you experience the “pink moment” of sunset in such style?
As promised, I came back! This time I brought my girlfriend, Audris, from Houston and we had a wonderful time. Ojai is a great place to launch day trips to Ventura, Santa Barbara, Santa Ynez, Los Olivos and Solvang. It was her first time here and Audris fell in love with Ojai and the Emerald Iguana. We got the “Romance Package” and thoroughly enjoyed the champagne, the chocolates and the rose. We stayed in “The Treehouse” right beside the trademark fountain and wished we could have stayed longer. Many thanks for a wonderful stay!

What a unique and wonderful place to spend my 70th birthday. My two daughters brought me here for this very memorable experience. the lush beauty of the gardens and the quiet are gifts to the soul.

We have seen the Blue Iguana many times and finally decided to stay there November 13-14. We were more than pleasantly surprised with the room and the service. It made for a very memorable weekend.
I can honestly recommend staying there for a great getaway.
My husband and I stayed at the Emerald Iguana in the “Toad” room right off the pool. We loved everything about the place. We were in Ojai for the film festival and decided to stay at the Iguana instead of a large, commercial hotel. It was fantastic. The grounds were beautiful and the people so friendly. It was so peaceful. We look forward to visiting again and would definitely recommend it to others!!!

When I found the Emerald Iguana website I thought it would be fun. I was blown away by how beautiful the grounds are and the details found in the room. I felt so pampered. It was our anniversary weekend and it was the perfect atmosphere for a romantic get away. We will absolutely be back!
